Job Ticket API (JTAPI) Working Group Status June 2002 - 11 September 2003 Accomplishments: --------------------- 1. Designed JTAPI high level object model that includes the objects, the relationships between the objects, and the attributes supported by each object. The high level object model is represented as a set of UML diagrams. 2. Contributed to creation of a mapping table that maps IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) attributes, JDF (Job Definition Format), PODi (Print On Demand initiative), CUPs (Common UNIX Printing System), and JTAPI (Job Ticket API). 3. Identified content for the 1.0 version of a C implementation of the JTAPI. 4. Identified content for an alpha version (subset of 1.0 version) of a C implementation of the JTAPI. In Progress: -------------- 1. Creation of the JTAPI Specification. 2. Getting approval from IBM to contribute IBM implementation of C version of the JTAPI as a starting point for FSG. Future Plans: --------------- 1. Create C header files that represent JTAPI. 2. Implement C version of JTAPI. 3. Create Java interface that represents JTAPI. 4. Implement Java version of JTAPI.
