Architecture Working Group Status 11 September 2003 - 10 October 2003 Accomplishments: --------------------- 1. Meeting weekly on phone conference calls. 2. Mobile Print use case created and is currently being reviewed. This use case will be used as the format for the other use cases. 3. Discussed what the preferred license should be in the code that is contributed to FSG. We came to conclusion that MIT and CPL are okay for code, although it has been pointed out that CPL is not compatible with GPL. We're looking at the IETF license for documentation. In Progress: -------------- 1. Working on use cases for printing under Linux. Future Plans: --------------- 1. Work with Linux distros to ship our solutions. 2. Provide a complete and consistent solution for printing under Linux. Issues/Concerns: -------------------- 1. Need more participation from other distros, projects, and companies that work with Linux. 2. We would like some direction from FSG regarding the preferrable license to include in code contributions and documentation contributions.
